Lichtenhan Named One of Mississippi’s Tech 21

The Mississippi Business Journal has named Hybrid President Joe Lichtenhan as one of its Tech 21 for 2015.
The Tech 21 recognizes Mississippi’s key players in technology in Mississippi. “When examining Mississippi’s contributions to the technology world, there are tech veterans whose works are still being felt, and there are young minds who are bringing new ideas,” said the publication in its August 20 article. “The Tech 21 is the Mississippi Business Journal’s take on some of the top contributors to technology in Mississippi and the world.”
Joining Lichtenhan in the Tech 21 were corporate executives such as Jim Barksdale (former CEO of Netscape) and Hu Meena (CEO of C Spire). Also included in the list were entrepreneurs and researchers.
Lichtenhan said he was honored to be included in the prestigious list of Mississippi’s technology leaders.
“This honor is a testament to the groundbreaking work that Hybrid is doing in so many industries,” said Lichtenhan. “Many people have worked to evolve and expand the role that POSS technology plays to make products better.”
Hybrid manufactures POSS (short for polyhedral oligomeric silsequioxane), which bridges the gap between ceramic and organic materials to form a single molecular composition. POSS improves product performance of standard chemical additives. It can be altered to give the molecule certain functionalities that benefit products in a variety of industries.
Hybrid is a chemical additive research and manufacturing company in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. For more information on the company and the many uses of POSS, visit hybridplastics.com.
